The humble burger – a staple at Replenish Kitchen. We love them so much we’re going to give you the recipe. Its a simple but effective and very tasty lean little number! This recipe is in homage to 3-1-5’s own Mr Lee Jones and his creation that we’ve renamed The Replenish One

Ingredients (Makes 5 Burgers)

  • Lean steak mince 500g
  • 2 eggs – beaten
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 block of halloumi sliced into 10 pieces
  • Wholemeal bread buns
  • Cajun wedges – Recipe here
  • Salsa
  • Spinach
  • Jalapeños
  • Clean slaw


  1. In a bowl mix the mince, eggs, onion, mustard and herbs and add salt and pepper. Combine the mixture well and then mould 5 large burgers. Place on a plate, cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours at least
  2. After making the CAJUN WEDGES, start by grilling your burgers on high for 4-6 minutes on each side
  3. Meanwhile, slice and toast the buns on the inside
  4. Dry pan fry the halloumi for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and soft
  5. Load the buns with salsa and spinach and add your cooked burgers, halloumi and jalapeños
  6. Serve alongside the wedges and slaw
